'Twas the weekend before Christmas...

This is Thursday, when Mama and I stayed home because
I got sick with my first stomach flu Wednesday night,
and since I was a very good girl
and napped a lot to rest up, she got lots of laundry done,
so to scoot me out of the way, she put me in the basket.
Silly Mama.

This is Sunday afternoon, when we were still in Eau Claire, because:

1) I first got sick with the flu Wednesday, had to stay home

and miss the fun at daycare,

2) then, even by Thursday night I wasn't keeping much liquid down,

and Daddy and Mama were afraid I might be dehydrated.

We went to the doctor on Friday, I didn't have dehydration!

3) Friday night we were getting all packed up to go to Hallock

and Mama got so excited to go that during the night

she got a tummy ache and got the flu, too.

4) Then the weather was getting pretty bad on Saturday morning,

and I woke up with pink eye in my left eye

and Daddy took me to the doctor for medicine.

We still might head for up north Sunday morning!

5) When I woke up Sunday morning, I had pink eye in my other eye

and the weather still stunk! So, we threw in the towel

and said we should stay home, kinda like the Packers did today.

But I wouldn't wanna play outside if it was that cold either!

Luckily, we can spend Christmas with the Thompson family

for my first Christmas!

I like to squint a lot right now,
it really changes your outlook on things.

This Santa guy better bring me a lot of stuff,
that's all I've got to say.
He better not use the bad weather as an excuse
for not coming tomorrow night!
